Samsung Gets Interaction Wrong

Yesterday my beautiful 22 inch Samsung TFT screen arrived. Unpacked it, plugged it in and off course, the resolution was wrong. So, I inserted the CD that came with it. After a few seconds my browser window resizes (VERY BAD) and I am confronted with a screen displaying a list of languages, I select English. Next thing I see is a list of manuals, safety instructions, specification etc. What I wanted to see though was this:

This very vital part of the installation process was hidden to me, bellow the fold, no idea why. Another bad idea. But it gets worse. After franticly clicking through the site I finally find what I am looking for. I select the option to install the driver and this is what I get:

“This manual is fully optimized for IE”!? C’mon. First of all, if you are going to use the browser as interface for the installation of drivers, at least make it compatible with the other browsers on the market. Secondly, I fail to see how this is “optimized” at all. What the link basically does is link me to an executable file located on the CD. I am yet to encounter a browser that is not capable of that.

This just looks like another company who doesn’t really care about their customers after they have paid for their product.
